Das mit hoher Geschwindigkeit rotierende Klassifikatorrad erzeugt eine starke Fliehkraft, um grobes und feines Pulver zu trennen. Qualifiziertes Feinpulver passiert die Radfl\u00fcgel und gelangt dann in den Zyklon oder den Beutelfilter, w\u00e4hrend grobes Pulver, das das Feinpulver mit sich f\u00fchrt, seine Geschwindigkeit verliert und entlang der Wand des Raums zum Eintritt der Sekund\u00e4rluft f\u00e4llt. Der Sekund\u00e4rluftstrom verteilt es weiter und trennt grobes und feines Pulver. Feines Pulver steigt in den Klassifikationsraum zur weiteren Klassifizierung auf, w\u00e4hrend grobes Pulver nach unten f\u00e4llt und am Boden ausgetreten
